How do private messages work?

Private messages are a way to comunicate that is very similar to emails. It is a private system so only you and the recipee can read these messages. To send a message to someone you just need to click on “Send private message” on the profile of the user. You can view the messages, reply or delete them from your personal page in the contacts section

What is the footprint?

The footprint is one of the best way sto break the ice and get in touch with another user. It’s an easy way to say “I’m interested in you” or “I was surfing around and I noticed you”. It is very easy and quick to use. Just go on the profile you are interested in and click on the link “Leave a footprint”: the user will be notified about your message and can reply to the footprint and… one thing leads to another ;)

Is there a chat in the website?

Of course! It is in the red bar at the bottom of the page. To start chatting with a user you just need to swap a footprint

How can I chat with a user?

To start chatting with a user you just need to swap a footprint: then you will just need to go on the profile of the user you want to chat with and click on Start Chat

How do I know about new messages?

Once you have logged in, in the red bar above on the right, you can see your new messages, otherwise you will find the item “New messages” in the homepage. In the settings page, on the item notifications you can activate the function to be informed about new messages

Can I set my status online/offline?

Yes, you can select your status by clicking on the icon on the very right of the red bar, at the bottom of the page
